Have you settled for old age?

Maybe getting up from the floor isn't as easy as it used to be.
Maybe your balance isn't quite what it was.
Maybe you've simply started accepting things you once did without thinking.

You're not done yet.

This isn't about becoming an athlete.

Lasting Strength is a realistic movement and capability programme for ordinary men over 55 who want to keep their body capable for normal life.

No gym culture. No punishment. No transformation promises.

Just practical, manageable movement designed to help you stay stronger, steadier and more confident as the years move on.

I'm Tim. This started with a simple goal.

As I approached 59, I made myself a promise.

I wanted to go into my sixties stronger, more capable and more confident in my body than I was when I entered 59.

So I went looking for something that could help me get there.

And that's where I hit a problem.

I couldn't find anything that felt like it had been made for me.

I wasn't already fit. I wasn't looking to become an athlete. And I didn't want to follow somebody who could effortlessly demonstrate movements that, at 59 and starting from where I was, I simply couldn't do.

I'd tried things like that before. It's frustrating. You're trying to make a positive change, but before you've really started you're being shown exercises your body isn't ready for.

What I wanted was something for an ordinary bloke like me. Something that started where I was, helped me progress from there, and recognised that getting older isn't only about losing strength.

But I couldn't find it.

So I decided to build it.

As I researched what our bodies need as we get older, I realised that strength was only part of the picture.

We need to be able to move. To balance. To control our bodies. To get down to the floor and back up again. And to have the strength and confidence to keep doing the ordinary things that make up everyday life.

That's why I built Lasting Strength around five areas: Upper Body Strength, Lower Body Strength, Core & Abs, Flexibility & Movement, and Balance & Control.

I started at the beginning, without pretending I had all the answers.

I began researching what my body needed and building the programme around what I learned. Day by day, Lasting Strength developed with me — introducing different types of movement, increasing the challenge as I became more capable, and changing when something simply didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

I also built regular reviews into the programme so I wasn't relying on how I thought I was doing. I wanted to see whether I was actually improving.

And I was.

Over time, the numbers changed. But more importantly, so did the way I felt. I became stronger, steadier and more confident in the way I moved.

Things that had become harder started becoming easier again.

Lasting Strength wasn't created first and then tested on me. It grew from the journey itself.

Not a desire to become an athlete.

A desire to keep being capable.

Because getting older doesn't mean you're done yet.

WHAT IS LASTING STRENGTH?

A little movement. Every day. With a purpose.

Lasting Strength is built around short, manageable sessions designed to fit into everyday life.

You don't need a gym, a dedicated exercise room or expensive equipment.

I developed Lasting Strength in my own shed, with limited space, a low ceiling and an exercise mat. That's still where I do it today.

Because if exercise is going to become part of your life, I believe it needs to work with the space and the life you've already got.

Each day combines different types of movement so you're not simply working on one part of your body while ignoring everything else.

UPPER BODY STRENGTH
Strength for pushing, supporting and controlling your own body.

LOWER BODY STRENGTH
For standing, climbing, getting up and staying capable on your feet.

CORE & ABS
Not just for appearance — for stability, posture and controlling the way your body moves.

FLEXIBILITY & MOVEMENT
Helping your body keep moving freely through the ranges everyday life asks of it.

BALANCE & CONTROL
Building steadiness, coordination and confidence in the way you move.

Every movement has a purpose.

You're not exercising just to complete a workout.

You're building a body you can keep using.

COULD I ACTUALLY DO THIS?

There's only really one way to find out. Have a go.

When I started, I wasn't particularly fit. I wasn't somebody who exercised regularly, and I certainly didn't have an athletic body.

I was an ordinary bloke approaching 60, carrying more around my middle than I'd like, beginning to feel stiffer and noticing that some of the everyday things I'd always taken for granted were becoming harder.

That's exactly the kind of person I had in mind as Lasting Strength developed.

You don't need to be able to perform every movement perfectly. You don't need to keep up with somebody fitter than you. And you don't need to prove anything to anybody.

You start with what your body can do today.

Some movements will feel easier than others. Some may surprise you. There may be things you can't manage at first.

That's OK. The point isn't to arrive capable.

The point is to become more capable.

YOU CAN ALWAYS DO LESS. BUT YOU STILL NEED TO SHOW UP.

Thirty seconds can become twenty. A movement can be smaller. You can take a little longer to recover.

What matters is continuing to turn up and giving your body the opportunity to adapt.

Only you can decide whether Lasting Strength is right for you.

But don't decide by looking at somebody else doing it.

Don't decide because you think you're too old, too unfit or you've left it too late.

Have a go. Start where you are. Then see what your own body tells you.

WHAT DO I ACTUALLY GET WITH LASTING STRENGTH?

A complete 365-day journey — built one day at a time.

Lasting Strength didn't begin as a finished exercise course. When I started, I didn't have a programme, a library of videos or even a year's plan sitting in front of me.

I simply started.

As my own capability developed, so did Lasting Strength. What you'll receive is the programme that grew from that year — including the things I discovered I needed when life didn't quite go according to plan.

365 DAYS OF LASTING STRENGTH

A complete year of guided sessions, with a new lesson for each day of your journey.

Every session includes the same guidance I used myself, explaining the movements, what you're doing and why you're doing it.

YOUR STARTING POINT AND 8-WEEK REVIEWS

Your journey begins by establishing where you are today.

On Day 1 you'll complete your first capability assessment and record your results. Every eight weeks you'll repeat that assessment, giving you your own record of how your strength, movement, balance and capability are changing.

You're not comparing yourself with me or anybody else.

You're comparing yourself with the person who started.

SWAP DAY LIBRARY

Some days you simply won't be ready for the session you had planned.

You might be stiff, sore, fatigued or just running on empty. Swap Days give you a lighter alternative so you can still show up without unnecessarily adding more strain.

MOBILITY SUPPORT

Sometimes it's not general tiredness — there's a particular area that needs some attention.

Mobility Support gives you focused movement sessions for those occasions when stiffness or restricted movement means your normal session isn't the best choice that day.

RECOVERY SUPPORT

Illness and time away happen. I discovered that myself during the development of Lasting Strength.

Recovery Support gives you a gradual route back into the programme rather than expecting you to jump straight back in where you left off.

THE LASTING STRENGTH COMMUNITY

Lasting Strength isn't only about going through an exercise programme.

We're all getting older, and many of us are experiencing the same changes in different ways.

The Lasting Strength community is being created as a place to share experiences, ask questions, talk about what's working and learn from other ordinary people travelling the same road.

AND LASTING STRENGTH WILL KEEP DEVELOPING

The programme grew because I kept discovering things that could make it better.

That won't suddenly stop.

As useful new support resources become part of Lasting Strength, the programme can continue to grow alongside the people using it.

THIS ISN'T JUST 365 EXERCISE VIDEOS.

It's the programme, the progression, the regular reviews and the support to help you keep going when real life gets in the way.

Everything I wished I'd had when I decided to start.
